On Wednesday the 11th of February, the Women’s Blues played against UEA at Grange Road. After a slew of cancellations, the match was an essential piece of preparation for the Varsity match in just over two weeks.
We heard the following from social secretary Jess McConnell:
The two teams played tremendously and kept each other constantly fighting. The blues managed to touch down 2 tries in the first half, and 1 in the second. UEA kept the pressure on the team throughout and ensured our blues didn’t have time to rest.
Sadly the game was cut a couple minutes short due to injury, but both UEA and our Blues had smiles on at the end.
The Women’s Blues now gear up for an exciting invitational match next Wednesday, tickets for which can be secured in advance here.
