TEAMS

The club currently has 150 players across three men’s and three women’s teams. The ultimate aim of every rugby player at Cambridge is to play in a Varsity Match against Oxford University. In recent seasons we have held six Varsity matches played at various levels, ensuring that over 100 players gained the honour of playing against the Other Place each year. The Varsity series culminates with the first teams – the Blues – playing at the StoneX Stadium.

As well as the University teams, there are 15 men’s College teams who compete in a structured league system on Saturdays. There are three leagues where teams play each other once with regular promotion and relegation at the end of each season. The College rugby season starts in October with a touch rugby tournament and culminates in April/May with the final of the Cuppers knockout competition held at Grange Road.
