Jonathan Robert William Harvey, who won two rugby Blues in 1963 and 1964, was a goal-kicking forward who came up to Christ’s from Marlborough.
He holds the distinction of landing the only goal from a mark in Varsity match history. It came in the 1906 defeat to Oxford at Twickenham in 1964. He also kicked Cambridge’s other points through a penalty goal.
He won a cricket Blue in 1965, opening the bowling at Lord’s and taking three wickets in the match. He was last man in as the Light Blues staved of defeat.
He was called to the Bar in 1974 and worked as a barrister for many years in London out of the Henderson’s Chambers.
He died on 24 May, aged 82.
