Q&A with James Horwill 5 years after his winning 2019 Blue

With the Lions tour coming up in the summer of 2025 and a resurgence of the Australian Men’s team, our Head of Comms caught up with James Horwill who ran out for the Light Blues at Twickenham 5 years ago almost to the day in a 15-0 win for the Men’s team. James won 62 caps for Australia and captained the Wallabies to the 2011 World Cup. After retiring he studied for an EMBA at Judge Business School alongside fellow international second row Flip van der Merwe (37 caps for South Africa).

In the season before joining Cambridge, James captained Harlequins and then followed in the footsteps of other ex-pros like Jamie Roberts, Charlie Amesbury and the late Nick Koster, by joining Queens College.
