There is just one week to go before we welcome over 120 past players to Grange Road for our Cambridge women’s rugby alum cap presentation event and annual ‘Old Girls’ match!
We’ve got a full day of activities for all the family planned and we can’t wait to celebrate women’s rugby at Cambridge with you all. Below is a reminder of timings and what you can expect from the day.

1230 Grange Road opens – food trucks, entertainment, bar, raffle, and more
1330 Cap presentation begins inside the clubhouse
1445 Touch playing and full contact warm up begin
1540 Group photograph of all past and present players in attendance
1600 CURUFC v Cambridge Women’s Rugby Alum XV kicks off
1745 Post-match food, raffle draw, and socialising into the evening
2300 Grange Road closes
Food and drink will be available throughout the day, both from our fantastic food truck partners and the bar and kitchen inside the clubhouse.
We know that many alum will be bringing their children and are lining up kids’ activities for the day.
A kit sale will be taking place, with the chance to get a great deal on last season’s Rhino kit and an early view of our new Canterbury stash. Raffle tickets will be on sale with the draw taking place after the match.
The bar will remain open at CURUFC into the evening, with social activities organised by the current social secretaries.

If you’ve not yet signed up to play full contact rugby and / or touch, please sign up using this form.
For full contact, substitutions will be made on a rolling basis, and you are welcome to play as much or as little as you would like. Playing shirts will be provided, but you will need to bring any other kit you need, e.g. boots, shorts and gum shield.
Touch will be arranged based on expressions of interest. Bibs will be provided, but you will need to bring anything else you need to play, e.g. trainers and comfortable clothing.
